AMERICAN AUTHORS -
“TUMBLE” VIDEO TREATMENT
PROJECT OVERVIEW
We’ll start the day at Taylor House Studios in Nashville, where I have us budgeted for 4 hours. Afterwards, we will travel to our outdoor location at Percy Warner park, to grab some beautiful landscape shots with the band. Overall tentative schedule would be for a 5 hour day in total.
For the visual style, I felt inspired by a clean black and white studio look. We’ll shoot looks with heavy shadows and motivated lighting, as well as crisp, fully-lit shots that take advantage of the full studio space. Cinema quality film grain will be added in post to give us a nice texture. Most shots will be locked off on tripod to give us a heavy, clean cinematic feel; with sporadic hand-held takes, and gorgeous slo-motion. In studio, we’ll capture performance shots of the band, slo-motion of a classical trained dancer, and potentially two models in tiger outfits “Two tigers fighting”.
As for location, primarily we’ll be shooting against a white wall at Taylor House Studios in Nashville. The studio also features a number of interesting rooms, such as the American Flag makeup room, which we’d like to utilize for extra performance inserts.
